Hawaii Jungle Adventure Session – Carli + Mitch

I met Mitch and Carli about a year and a half ago in Boulder CO, when I accompanied a friend to shoot Mitch’s proposal to Carli. It was so precious to meet these two and also get to capture one of the mot special moments of their life. Fast forward a year, I was headed to Wild and Unwritten in Hawaii when Carli reached out and told me that she and Mitch were going to be there at the exact same time for their honeymoon, and they would love to get photos taken again! It was such a perfect coincidence, and I was so excited to meet up with them for a second time.

It worked out so perfectly! The girls I was staying with and I got to go wander around the jungle with these two love birds and take some of the most incredible photos together. We hiked into the woods to a giant creek where we were instantly plagued by mosquitos, so we grabbed a few quick shots, but quickly left to get some ice cream, and then went to Shipwreck Beach to watch the sunset from the top of the cliff. It so was magical – such an ethereal and dreamy moment watching the sun set over the ocean. Not to mention, we saw dozens of whales coming to the surface while we were up on the cliff. It completely took my breath away!

I am so thankful I was able to capture these photos for Mitch and Carli while there were on their honeymoon! Can we make honeymoon photo shoots a regular thing from now on??
