Lake Altoona is a lovely lakeside location in Eau Claire County Wisconsin. Eau Claire County manages the reservoir for the purpose of water conservation and community recreation. Many people take advantage of water sports, walking trails, fishing, and picnics. There are wonderful water views and plenty of beautiful intimate lakeside spaces for engagement photos. The landscape surrounding Lake Altoona is lush green with beautiful wildflowers, man-made beaches, and woodland pines. 

These intimate engagement photos were taken at golden hour when the late afternoon sun shone brightly through the landscape making everything shimmer. Golden hour is that magical time of day, just after sunrise or just before sunset where the whole sky lights up with stunning colors and amazing lighting. About The Couple: Lakeside Engagement

Lakeside settings naturally give a calm and peaceful ambience. Hope and Gracen walk hand in hand on meandering paths and around the rocky water’s edge for some gorgeous romantic pics. I love the way they embrace each other and fill the lens with their smiles. Joy beams from these two!

I’m so grateful that what I felt on the day photographing this engagement, genuinely shines through in the photos. Life is so busy that couples get to the photoshoot and need to pause, take a deep breath, and relax. Enjoy a couple of hours to focus on each other, the spring weather, and the picturesque location. I happily click away in the background capturing quality, raw and authentic engagement photos. 

Hope looks radiant in a maroon, square neck smock, short sleeve blouse and light denim jeans, with khaki sandals. Her long blonde cascades of wavy hair, capture the natural sunlight beautifully. Gracen wears a long white sleeve button up shirt, denim jeans and tan boots. There are some fantastic pics where they are squeezing each other tightly, smiling broadly, and staring straight into the heart of the camera.
